I had a right forefoot correction (Scarf, Akin, ll Weil Osteotomy and 2nd toe correction) or bunion and hammer toe to the layman on 23rd November 2015. The procedure was done very efficiently and I am delighted with the result, the foot functions well and looks vastly better!
I wish I could name the surgeon because they did such a splendid job.
A few things to bear in mind if you are contemplating having this type of surgery:
It does take time to recover, you have to be patient. I couldn't drive for nearly 2 months. They aren't being vague about prognosis and recovery times, everyone is different.
Treatment may feel a bit like being on a conveyor belt but that's the point. They process a large number of straight forward operations. There were no short cuts when it came to infection control however and I was very impressed and reassured how seriously this was taken.
Should my left foot bunion get to the stage where it needs fixing, yes I would have it done at NETC.
