"Breast Cancer Surgery"

About: Poole General Hospital

After discovering a breast lump I had an appointment in the Ladybird Clinic for a mammogram, scan and biopsy followed by a lumpectomy in December and a mastectomy in January.

Everyone that I came into contact with during that time was so kind and spent as much time as I needed to understand the procedures that I was going to have, with special mention of the nurses in the Ladybird Clinic and my Consultant Surgeon.

The nurses in the Day Ward, Ward 2 and Recovery were all so kind and patient even though they were under so much pressure.

I am so grateful with the speed that my treatment was dealt with from beginning to end and I am now cancer free.

I am so glad to hear that you are now free of cancer.

Thank you for taking the trouble to give your feedback on the treatment you received.

I will pass your comments on to the breast care team and ward staff.

PALS Team, Poole Hospital.
