"Maternity"

About: Cumberland Infirmary

I gave birth to our beautiful little girl November 2015 by c section and can't fault the standard of care we received at the cic . I was feeling nervous about having a c section and all the midwifes , drs and surgeons made me and my partner feel completely relaxed and at ease prior to our daughter been delivered and made us feel relaxed and at ease in theatre and were happy to answer any questions we had . The level of communication was excellent and time was always given to answer any concerns we had prior to the operation . Once our daughter was born and I was moved to recovery and the ward I was amazed at the level of care within the cic maternity ward . All the midwifes were friendly and it was clear that they all were passionate about their jobs and had time for their patients & were happy to have the time to chat and answer any questions that I had regarding recovery from my c section . I would certainly recommend cic maternity services and would certainly use cic maternity services again in the future .

Thankyou again to all the maternity staff , midwifes , surgeons , consultants you do a amazing job and Thankyou for making my birthing experience and our stay in hospital a positive one .

Thank you for sharing the experience of the birth of your daughter. It must be daunting to think you needed a C-section for the birth and I am delighted everything went well.

You are right the midwives are passionate about their work and realise that giving birth is one of the most exciting things a lady does. They will be thrilled to hear you were very happy with their care and I will ensure your comments are passed to the manager who will share them with the team.

Finally I would like to offer you my congratulations on the birth of your daughter and hope you have a lovely family Christmas.
