What I liked

Everyone that I spoke to during the day was helpful and cheerful. I was very nervous about going in for a procedure as a day patient, but was put to ease by everyone there.

What could be improved

The day was made longer by having to wait 4 hours for a blood test to be returned. Even the doctors and nurses were frustrated as the usual turn-around was 1 hour. This unfortunately delayed everything else during the day. I think the frustration was down to not knowing when the results would suddenly appear. If we had all known it was going to be 4 hours, then I could have gone to the canteen or bookshop, and the doctors/nurses could have scheduled their day better.

We are sorry this was not met on this occasion and that the information about the expected time was not passed on to you.
