I had had what I thought was my period the week previously, but then the following week suffered severe abdominal pains. I went to the GP who (following a pregnancy test) then sent me on to A&E. After an examination and pregnancy test they determined that I was (or had been pregnant). The care given was good - very caring and considerate. I was given an appointment for a scan and blood tests which clarified that I was no longer pregnant. The HCPs I encountered all treated me with kindness and respect and I felt treated my condition seriously.
