Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Although we are disappointed to read your post, we want to take this as an opportunity to make some improvements.

We can confirm that our patients are sent a medical questionnaire to complete prior to their pre-assessment appointment; as the information is important to us we will request completion on a patients arrival at the hospital.

We sincerely apologise if any member of staff displayed anger or negativity towards you; we would like to speak to you further about this but as you have posted anonymously, we cannot contact you. Therefore, we would like to ask you to contact the Quality Manager at BMI The Ridgeway Hospital.

In January 2016 we experienced occasions where patients were registered with us, and attended a Pre-Assessment appointment, however their admission date had yet to be confirmed.

These same patients came to us via the local trust hospital and unfortunately we were unable to offer any guarantee that patients would see the same named consultant here.

With regard to handling urine samples without gloves, I can confirm that all the Pre assessment nurses have completed their infection control mandatory training.

Please be assured that effective hand hygiene is observed on a daily basis and regular audits are performed to ensure standards are maintained.
