"Endoscope."

About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services

As you can see from the title I had to go and have Endoscopy (camera down the throat) done last week I was absolutely dreading it, although it was not the pleasant of procedures it was made more bearable by the warm and friendly staff, from the receptionist, the nurse that booked me in the Endoscopist and their team to the nurse that looked after me in recovery and brought me a lovely cup of coffee. I was quite woozy and had to go for a blood test where i was told that there was a 15 minute wait but after my husband explained the situation, the receptionist came round from reception and took us straight thro to have my blood test I do apologize to all that were patiently waiting. On

Friday I have to go and have a C.T. scan and I am expecting the same professional care, post you later.

Thank you for your comments which wll be shared with staff.

An endoscopy is certainly not the most pleasant experience and friendly staff can make all the difference as did , I am sure, the continuing care and consideration shown to you in pathology

Receiving positive comments such as yours are helpful in highlighing to staff the often simple things that make the difference.

Kind regards Christine Longstaff on behalf of the George Eliot Hopital NHS Trust.
