"On-going treatment - Eye Hosp- for Wet Macular..."

About: Solihull Hospital

Have been accompanying my Mother, who has regularly (monthly) appointments:-

- staff always kind and considerate

- consultants always patient and take time to explain, treatment and procedures.

Yesterday's appointment was particularly impressive.

Despite inevitable delay in appointment time (this department is always very busy) a specific member of nursing team went out of their way to assist us (even though they clearly had their coat on and were technically 'off duty').

With many thanks to all for everyday kindness and consideration, always afforded, despite the tremendous pressure you are under.

Thank you for your kind feedback about your Mother's patient experience in our Ophthalmology Department at Solihull Hospital.

I am so pleased to read that on each visit you have found the staff to be kind and considerate and that the consultants have taken their time to patiently explain the required treatments and procedures.

I agree that the department is extremely busy and the team there do a fantastic job on a daily basis in ensuring that our patients are seen and treated appropriately, and it is particularly heartwarming to note that a specific member of the team went out of their way to assist you despite being on their way out of the department to go home.

This is only one example of the great work our staff throughout the trust do on a daily basis for our patients. A positive patient experience is extremely important to us and it is really appreciated that you have taken the time to provide your feedback.

I wish your mother well in her continued treatment at Solihull Hospital and will ensure that your lovely comments are highlighted to Dr Ramesh Sivaraj, Clinical Director for Ophthalmology, and Sarah Crathorne, Matron for Ophthalmology Services who will be delighted to communicate your feedback to all of the Ophthalmology Team.
