I visited A&E on 24th October after breaking my wrist. After a 2hr wait, I was very quickly processed given an x-ray, a temporary plaster and a referral to trauma clinic the next day.
Trauma clinic we're very efficient in assessing my injury and getting a new cast on the next day, and we're very flexible in managing my care until my cast was removed 6 weeks later.
I got an immediate consultation to Physiotherapy within the trauma clinic, and a referral to the local muscular skeletal team, who I've seen twice have been excellent. I was also referred for a bone density scan to ensure there are not any underlying bone weaknesses and reviewed with my GP.
My experience is a great testament to NHS, the services has been very capable, efficient, connected-up and friendly services. I don't see how I could have enjoyed a better level of care.
"Great A&E and excellent follow-up care"
