"Excellent, very helpful and accommodating"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

I would like to thank the rheumatology department, I rang the helpline because I was having difficulties doing daily tasks, even getting out of bed, and after numerous visits to my GP and them telling me to wait until the medication to kick in, even after 12 weeks of pain, I decided to call the helpline.

I was lucky that they were having a drop in clinic the following day but was told that there could be a long wait.

I arrived and although it was extremely busy everyone was very polite and helpful. After a short wait I was seen by a specialist nurse who was very helpful, and explained the condition which I had recently been diagnosed with, which no one had prior, and looked at my meds and made adjustments, although it was so busy I did not feel rushed at all, which is the normal feeling I get from most of my appointments.

A week later my new meds have kicked in and simple things like getting out of bed are 100 times easier.

So I would like to thank the whole team for spending time to explain my condition and being polite A huge Thanks,
