"Cataract operation: I will be forever grateful"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

I arrived at Stoke Mandeville Hospital on a Saturday to have my cataract removed from my right eye. The surgeon and his team were excellent and all the other staff members that helped me on that day. The next day when I took the pad off I could not believe the difference, everything was so bright and I could see clearly for the first time for ages and I became really emotional. My vision was really poor, prior to this and I was unable to see to read, even crossing roads was difficult.

I feel so lucky that I was able to have this done and I am still emotional about it a week later. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me. I will be forever grateful.
