The SPAN facility, at Foster Drive, Nottingham (part of Notts Healthcare NHS Trust), has been a great help to me in my recovery from a bad spell of depression and anxiety. The staff are helpful without being patronising, encouraging me to make my own decisions about what I want to do. The centre is modern and well equipped and the atmosphere amongst staff and fellow students is friendly and supportive. The IT classes with Tim Woods have improved my powers of concentration and given me increased confidence by reminding me of my abilities and my capacity to learn. The classes are also enabling me to work towards a recognised qualification.
