This is my second visit to the unit, first one for the dreaded camera up the urethra to investigate blockage, second for treatment to remove said blockage. Had radio and chemotherapy 3 years ago.
The day of admission was packed and unfortunately I was the last on the list for treatment which meant a wait of 4.5 hours, which on top of fasting from midnight made me a grumpy bear. Not the fault of staff here on the unit, the letter and admin process could not predict how long the wait would be either.
Unfortunately I was a bit grumpy, I apologise, the staff here are brilliant.... just so patient and friendly, not at all stuffy or stiff!
The entire team work in harmony, well at least appear to, and efficiently.
I have nothing but praise for the recovery staff and the ward. A couple in particular were just fantastic, like visiting friends at their own home.Very professional but also exceptionally kind, humorous and attentive.
I have to thank them
