Today I attended ENT for a lump in my neck, referred by my doctor. I waited 3 weeks for this appointment. y appointment was at 09:20am. I did not get to see the consultant till 10:20pm....Then I was sent downstairs for a scan of my neck. I handed my slip to the xray office. I sat down waited over ten minutes to be told that I was in the wrong area and to walk further down and hand the form in of which there was nobody to hang the form into. There were at least 15 people all, not knowing who to hang the form into> Then a nurse turns up, takes the forms willy nilly, then we start to be called for the scan....all in a mixed order we came in. We complained and then the order was put correct. It appears an empty department where you have your scan taken you are left hanging around with the slip in your hand wondering will anybody turn up and take the slip from you. After this, you have to wait again, to see the consultant again...I left the hospital at 12pm...in otherwords I was there for 2.5hrs. This is atrocius..with nurses just hanging around talking or nobody to be seen. I shall not be going back to Wythenshawe Hospital....
