What I liked
Sadly, I have been an inpatient at quite a number of different hospitals throughout my life for numerous different ailments. Whilst all the hospitals I have visited have provided a high quality of care, Rochdale Infirmary has impressed me the most. Being a patient there was as much a pleasure as it is possible when you are ill.
The staff are excellent and a credit to the hospital. They work very hard and don't rush out the door when their shift has finished. They managed to combine friendliness and professionalism which led to an excellent quality of care and to me feeling as though I really mattered.
I would not look forward to being hospitalised again, but if I was then I would certainly hope it would be at Rochdale Infirmary. I shall be returning to the hospital in a few weeks' time to have my temporary operation reversed and I am glad that I will be returning ro Rochdale Infirmary above all the other hospitals I have visited.
What could be improved
The coffee! Let's have real coffee on the wards instead of that instant rubbish! When you are an inpatient, brew time can be one of the few highlights you look forward to in the day. As a "real coffee" expert, I know that having decent coffee is both healthier and it lifts your mood better (which would lead to better recovery). When I return to the hospital to have my temporary operation reversed, I shall be taking my cafetiere!
"Sadly, I have been an inpatient ..."
