I noticed that lots of the reviews for the hospital are negative, so I was really scared when I was told that I would be going. Of course it wasn't perfect, but I honestly believe that if it weren't for the Bethlem Adolescent Unit I would still be depressed. The staff really care about the patients, frequently staying late to help out when it is needed, despite the many cuts to the NHS.
So if you're about to go, don't be worried - people are more likely to write a review if their experience was negative. I started speaking to a psychologist soon after my arrival, and recieved so much help.
The hospital is doing a fantastic job of overcoming the limitations caused by a lack of funding, and I am so grateful.
