Having had a prostatectomy at Addenbrookes Hospital during April 2013, I have since been referred to Leicester Royal Infirmary to monitor my PSA and to decide if I require further treatment.
During my last visit on the 11 August 2015, my PSA level had risen by 2 hundredths, which according to the Consultant, was nothing to worry about.
That does not mean that it isn't always in the back of my mind and of course I am anxious about the next result.
I had an appointment for the 11 February and even now, I am concerned about what my PSA level will be.
Imagine my horror when I received a change in my appointment !!
This change is not a different time or a different date in the same week, it is nine weeks later. Apart from the huge stress, that it places upon me, I also question why any appointment should be changed to a date 9 weeks ahead.
No attempt has been made to explain this ridiculous situation and I honestly find it unacceptable.
"Change of appointment."
