"Triage Unit on Labour Ward"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (London)

My pregnant daughter needed to attend this unit in the early hours on Sunday 15th November. l wish to say the care and attention received by the nursing staff on duty that night was excellent .

My daughter was seen straightaway, tests were done and the necessary treatment given to stop any complications to her pregnancy.

A unit like this is a positive to have in a hospital and l was surprised it had only been running for six years, long may it continue to give all Mums to be peace of mind twenty four hours , seven days a week .

I would like to thank you for the comments you have written about our trust. The triage area is often the first port of call for many women using our service and it is so lovely to see such a positive experience. When women and their family’s come into triage it can sometimes be a very frightening experience but part of the reason triage exists is to not only treat the symptoms but to also listen to the women and allay their fears. The midwives and support staff who work there are passionate about their role in triage and it fills me with pride to have their passion and care appreciated in this way. I am looking forward to passing this on and to receiving more compliments like this one.
