I arrived at 7am on 2/12/15 to be greeted by the receptionist who signed me in and took me (the patient) and my husband to my room. It took over an hour for a nurse to come and take my details but I guess it was handover time. At all times I was treated with respect and dignity and being an anxious person this helped to keep me calm. My anaesatist was wonderful as this is the first time ever that I have not been sick after a ga and makes for a much quicker recovery. I can't thank them enough for this. Everybody involved in my care on the day I can't thank enough for making a very nervous lady keep calm and come away feeling as though it was a very positive experience. I am well on the road to recovery after my laparoscopic cholecystectomy(still sore but it is only day 3 after surgery and to be expected) but needed to thank everybody from the food catering assistant to my surgeon, I was made to feel that I mattered and wasn't just a number.
I had my surgery here as an nhs patient and if the need arose in the future and I required surgery I would not hesitate to chose the Nuffield again. I would highly recommend this hospital.
With many thanks from
Mrs Tina Browne
