I had both of my children in Treliske, 1st was 4.12.12, regular delivery requiring theatre repair for myself afterwards. Apart from one brusque, unfriendly midwife the rest were outstanding.
In the run up to my second child's birth there were mild complications which required initially being admitted in the middle of the nights (and an almost early delivery) then almost daily monitoring for the rest of my pregnancy. Everybody on 'that night' were so kind and professional, we knew we were in good hands. One member of staff in particular made us feel safe and looked after. I was lucky enough to also be cared for by this person again, which was just fantastic luck. Whilst in and out for monitoring the busy team always gave excellent care and attention.
On the 29.9.14 my second child was born via elective C-Section, though different this experience was also faultless. The whole theatre team were fabulous, I was reassured and cared for so well.
My care that followed was great - the post natal ward was jam packed and so so busy yet the staff always found time to be caring, compassionate and just 'there'. What fabulous people.
I am always telling people about my positive experiences here - and I always stress that it is the quality of the people that made the difference. The staff were so so busy and at times under resourced yet still delivered. These people make our NHS and must be looked after!
