Following Cataract Surgery (Phacoemulsification and Lens) of both eyes at Rotherham General Hospital, the condition of Fuchs Endothelial Syndrome was discovered and I was refered to the Directorate of Ophthalmology at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
Mr Edwards performed an Endothelial Transplant on my right eye followed by the treatment of drops into the right eye and laser treatment of both eyes. I am so grateful for the care given to me over the past year involving friendly and sympathetic advice by Mr Edwards, his doctors and the other clinic staff. My vision is so improved that I have passed the DVLA eyesight test and am driving again, giving me so much independance; although my experience of using bus and train locally (with a free pass) reminds me of my obligation to the planet! Thanks again, all of you.
Gordon. (Aged 76).
