What I liked
On booking into the holet that is called Ward 3, I was met with both frienliness and professionalism. I was shown to my room (Ward 9) and had everything shown to me followed by clear explanation on what was going to happen prior to my operation for a new hip.
At no time was I ever felt to be a burden, inspite of having to ask for a bottle at 2, 3, 4, and 5 am, and having to have my sheets renewed at an early hour, when my dressing leaked, and there was blood everywhere.
The food was a joy to eat,it was always tasty and hot (enough) and plentiful. The menus were unbelievable and well varied.
There were always plenty of hot drinks during the day, and even one morning at 3am when I couldn't sleep I was offered one!
In view of today's newspaper headlines, I must commend the cleaning staff on their excellent way in which they performed their task; my room was always being mopped and dusted during the day.
What could be improved
Reduce the cost of the TV and telephone calls
Anything else?
As I was leaving the ward to come home, I was encouraged to contact the ward if I had any problems whatsoever.
This I did and was given very good information, in a manner which I could understand, which has aided my path to recovery.
Thank you ALL very much for my stay.
