My care was excellent,by consultants, surgeons, nurses, care assistants etc..
My only grievance was the food,it was appalling,I was asked what I would like for breakfast,I asked for scrambled egg and toast, the reply was ,that was only for Private Patients.Porridge was in fact very nice.
A sandwich in plastic wrap,as you would expect at a service station.and not always fresh.
On my final day,top of menu was Faggots in gravy...pilchards...I was pleased not to be there for dinner. It so sad when people are at there most vulnerable and want a tasty meal.
I do not know how this problem can be addressed,as I can imagine it comes down to finance.
