Went in for a blocked bladder as hadn't voided in two days. Was sent by my GP
Was told to go directly to the ward which I did but had to wait three hours for catheter to be placed. in 15min two litres drained
Told them I am allergic to latex.
Still placed a latex catheter.
Found out the Monday it was latex from district nurse. (Placed Thursday) . Had been in agony and Unwell after placing. Phones them and was told couldn't be changed. Had to wait for district nurse to remove and place non latex. Urology then later complained regarding the treatment.
And in hospital wasn't told how to care for catheter or bags etc as they presumed seen I was in a wheelchair I had it before.
Told them I didn't no what I was doing and just told to contact the district nurse.
