"Outstanding care at neonatal unit"

About: The Royal London Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

My son had a paediatric stroke when he was four days old just as we were being discharged from hospital. He then spent several days in the neonatal unit at the Royal London having a multitude of tests.

The care and support we all received was outstanding at a time that was very stressful for our family. From the consultants, doctors and nurses to the breastfeeding coordinator and physio we really felt cared for and in the best place possible for our son to receive everything he needed.

Dear Hackney Mum

We were extremely sorry to hear about your son. This must have been a very stressful and upsetting time for you and your family.

It is great to hear that the Neonatal Team were on hand to care for your son and support you when you most needed it. Your kind words have been shared with the team in the Neonatal Unit.

Best wishes

Barts Health NHS Trust
