I went into labour on 6th July and as soon as me and my partner walked into the labour ward we were attended to straight away I was given gas and air to help with my contraction pain whilst they examined me. The nurses were very friendly and helpful and arranged for a consultant to attend to me straight away to check my baby's position. I had to have an emergency cesarean section due to my baby being footling breech. The staff were amazing they quickly got me prepared for theatre and we're so friendly they put me at ease and calmed my pre surgery nerves everything went amazingly in the procedure and everyone was professional. The theatre was very clean and the procedure was over before I knew it with no complications and I met my little man :) I was stitched promptly and was well cared for afterwards on the ward. The best experience for me was the efficiency of the staff and how friendly they all were they were all fantastic and my whole birth experience was good despite the initial breech complications. Four months on my scar from the cesarean has healed well with no complications and my scar is very neat.
