About: Hillingdon Hospital

Mount Vernon X-Ray showed fracture on right wrist, my Dr informed me that I had a fracture and was told to go Hillingdon Hosp Fracture Clinic. When I got there I was told to go to A & E so I waited there. Then a nurse told me I had to go to the fracture clinic where an appointment would be made for me.

I went to my appointment and waited ages to see the Consultant when they sent me round for more X-Rays. I came back to Fracture clinic and waited ages again saw another Dr when they said you have nothing significant and my Dr was wrong. They told me to make an appointment for a scan so now waiting for that, another few weeks.

We are very sorry to hear of the experiences you had when visiting our services. As I am sure you will appreciate it is very important to ensure that patients are correctly diagnosed in order to ensure they receive the right treatment and advice. However in this instance it seems that you spent much longer in the department than should have been the case. We sincerely apologise for this advice but want to assure you that the intention was to make sure you had the appropriate level of treatment.
