(as a relative),

Our mum sadly passed away in September 2015 after complications following a heart attack but my sister and I would like to pass on our sincere thanks for all the wonderful care that was given at Perth Royal Infirmary, Ninewells Hospital and the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh over a two-week period. Doctors and nurses in the Coronary Care Unit (ward 21) and the Intensive Care Unit (ward 22) at Ninewells, and the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (ward 111) at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, could not have done more for our mum, or for us. As relatives, we felt we were being cared for too and there were too many examples of kindness to mention. Special thanks to Professor Lang and Dr Joss in Ninewells and Dr Pessotto in the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. We will always be grateful for the professional and compassionate care given to our much loved mum

I will certainly ensure that your appreciation and thanks for the professional and compassionate care given to your mum, and the kindness shown to you and your sister, are shared. It is extremely important that we extend our care to families, as well as to our patients, and it is reassuring to hear that this was your experience. Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts at what is a very difficult time for you.
