I contacted NHS 111 because I needed a dentist urgently as I had toothache, and hadn't been able to register with an NHS dentist locally. The service from NHS 111 was really good - I quickly received a call back from someone at the urgent dental care service, who arranged a convenient weekend appointment for me, which took place within 2 days of my call. I was contacted by phone to confirm the appointment the day before, which I thought served as a good reminder.
On arrival at the clinic at St John's Health Centre, the reception staff were very pleasant, explained what forms I needed to fill in, and gave me time to do so. I was then taken for my appointment immediately after handing back the forms. I was seen by a professional but approachable dentist, who listened to my problem and took the time to thoroughly check my teeth and administer treatment.
I was at the health centre for about 20mins, and everything went really smoothly. The dental clinic was local to me, I didn't have any problems parking, and all the rooms were very clean.
"Good care experience"
