had appointment at 12:30pm got seen 10 mins later, sent me for x-ray, back to ward at 1pm, told to go to waiting room, doctor called another patient said be with you in a couple of minutes.came back in 20 mins later and saw another patient and told me spcialist to look at x-ray be 20 mins, waited total 1hr 30 gave me prescription. pharmacy took it got a ticket with wait time of 30mins 50MINS later got prescription. POOR SERVICE 3HRS TO SEE DOCTOR FOR 20 MINS

WHY NOT KEEP BISHOP AUCKLAND OPEN !

Thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that you had a disappointing experience at Darlington Memorial Hospital. I can assure you that Bishop Auckland Hospital is remaining open and has a very strong future role. The Trust is making changes to its emergency services which will see A&E moving to Darlington and Durham from 1st October, however Bishop Auckland Hospital will have a 24 hour GP led urgent care centre for treating minor illnesses and injuries. It will become the Trust's centre for planned care within increased surgery taking place there and also a specialist rehabilitation and recovery centre for patients from across County Durham and Darlington.
