Response from Darlington Memorial Hospital

Thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that you had a disappointing experience at Darlington Memorial Hospital. I can assure you that Bishop Auckland Hospital is remaining open and has a very strong future role. The Trust is making changes to its emergency services which will see A&E moving to Darlington and Durham from 1st October, however Bishop Auckland Hospital will have a 24 hour GP led urgent care centre for treating minor illnesses and injuries. It will become the Trust's centre for planned care within increased surgery taking place there and also a specialist rehabilitation and recovery centre for patients from across County Durham and Darlington.
