"Radiology and Orthopaedics - thank you!"

About: Homerton University Hospital

I have attended Homerton, mainly with my parents as English is not their first language, for many years.

Last week I attended a GP appointment with my Mum who was referred for an urgent scan. Two days after referral I had an appointment so popped into Radiology department just on off chance an appointment had been booked. It wasn’t. The receptionist I dealt with could not have been more helpful. After explaining the reason my Mum was referred urgently, this receptionist took it upon themself to track down the referral, wait for a sonographer to become available to vet the referral and get the go ahead to arrange an appointment. An appointment was arranged for six days after original referral from GP. Thanks, it started with you but also thanks to the rest of the team.

Today I attended the Orthopaedic clinic with my Dad. We were greeted by friendly reception and nursing staff.

Within an hour, my Dad had seen the consultant (who operated on my mother some years ago!), had x-rays, saw the consultant again and decision on treatment made.

The above, along with other numerous visits over the past 20 years to Homerton, I wholeheartedly give 5 stars. Doctors and staff do an amazing job – keep it up, and thanks again!

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your positive experience in our radiology department and in our orthopaedic department.

We have shared your feedback with the radiology and orthopaedic teams.

We are so glad your mother and father have had such good clinical care and that our receptionists were both friendly and helpful.
