Referred by GP presenting with high blood pressure and irregular heart beat I ended up in A&E overnight on Tuesday 6 October. Accompanied by a friend I was there from 1900 - 0500.
I had regular BP measurements, blood tests and heart monitoring.
I even had a chest xray at midnight. The tea was welcome as were the updates
The staff were faultless. It's not an easy environment when witnessing some of the cases arriving. With medication for the blood pressure and an onward appointment for co-agulation tests we left.
It's definitely not Munchausen Syndrome ........
I really hope that after the turmoil of the last few years the hospital regains its position as a hospital for Eastbourne and District - the clue is in the name - with over 90,000 souls in the town and surrounding area we need (and deserve) a joined up, fully functioning facility not a reduced service operation through which tumbleweed blows.
Good luck .......and thank you.
