"Intensive care"

My husband Peter was with you twice, once for a week in Balcombe Ward and finally in intensive care for four days.

At both times the staff were amazing and I can't speak too highly of them.

Balcombe Ward was clean, the staff were caring and had a rapport with Peter from the start.

Sadly Peter was sedated and breathing on a machine by the time he arrived in ICU.

The one to one care was wonderful, my family and I were kept advised at all times as to his treatment, and the 2 consultants worked very hard to save him.

The nurses were speaking to Peter all the time, and at the end, our wishes were always paramount, and he died surrounded by music and his family, very peacefully.

The staff made a very sad and difficult time much easier to cope with.
