Dear Sirs
I am writing to compliment you and the NHS staff that assisted my 83 year old mother on the above date. My mother Mrs Eileen Sweet had been ill in March and looked after at the hospital until fit enough to go to Eastbourne Care Home for rehabilitation however on the above date we discovered mum on the floor of her home shower where she had lain for 2 hours with a hot shower running on her. We rang the ambulance service who carefully manoeuvred her out of the shower, dressed a nasty arm wound she had suffered and took her to hospital. The ambulance crew stayed with her and handed her over to A&E department. We were extremely lucky and so was anyone else who had the good fortune to be looked after by an assistant who we were told was a studying junior doctor, who was more than courteous and able to put mum at ease immediately with nothing too much trouble.
My wife, myself and my mother would like to compliment this junior doctor and hope they are successful in whatever they qualify in, and to say Darlington Hospital and the NHS are lucky to have staff with this junior doctor's calibre. Thank you.
