What I liked
Hospital was clean, some staff were really nice, helpful and friendly. Lovely facilities, meals were nice.
What could be improved
Antenatal ward.... staff were not very helpful or friendly. I was in hospital having my first child, they seemed in no rush to do any checks, would rather have conversations with eachother. I was rarely asked if I was feeling ok. I am sure people can appreciate how scary it is having your first child. I felt like I was just left alone until my partner arrived. One member of staff was particulary rude/bossy and had no people skills.
Delivery Suite....Fantastic, midwife/students were lovely. Really happy with the care I received.
Post-natal - When alarm was pressed nobody came to see me, I had to run to the nurses station with my child who was choking on mucus. There were no nurses at the station, lucky enough one came out of a room and saw the baby blue in my arms. I must say the reaction of the nurse was excellent, and the Pediatricians were on the ward fast. Once this incident had occured I was moved outside the nurses station and the care I received was excellent. I do feel that they were under staffed on the postnatal ward hence my bad expereince,
Anything else?
There was a problem in the car park and there was no one about to help sort the situation.
