"absolutely fantastic care"

About: Glenfield Hospital

i was on ward 32 for a cardiac ablation and from the minute I came in to the minute I left, the care, consideration and treatment by both dr's and nurses was above and beyond. In the cath lab I was told everything that was happening and why, they did everything they could to make sure I was comfy even putting my feet in little plastic boots so they wouldn't get sore during the four hours I would be in there. I did feel some pain after but nothing to do with the ablation but the dr's and nurses listened and did everything they could to find out what the pain was and how they could ease it, they were so caring but so professional at the same time. Although they were all run ragged they listened to you and chatted, and when I should have left rather than say they needed the bed, they encouraged me to stay until my pain was under control. I saw dr's start at 8am and not leave until after 10pm then back next morning at 8 , nurses were working 12 hr shifts too but nothing was too much trouble. I was a long way from home and had never been to glenfields before but all I can say is thank you so much for looking after me, keeping me safe and making my stay in hospital the best I have ever had. I appreciate everything that you did for me.
