"Disrespect by the doctor."

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital

My mother cannot speak English so I was with her for interpretation. She is diabetic. Her sugar levels are quite high. Our appointment time was 2:40 pm and we were in hospital 10 mins late. Then my mom had blood tests and urine sample. So we were in doctor's room at 3.15 pm

They said we are late for 40 mins and they misbehaved with us. They were shouting that why you are late. They said to my mother : "you wanna die"

My mom is so so depressed because of their rude behaviour that she never wanna go to Royal hospital again. She was crying after coming home.

The doctor and we are from the same ethnicity so I guess they discriminate between us. If there would be some English patient, I guess she would not have misbehaved and shouted on us.

What kind of staff is this? I am highly disappointed. I never wanna see them again. They just made my mother cry.

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience with our Diabetic Medicine service. This is currently being investigated by the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS).
