My elderly father (92) was admitted to Huddersfield (the assessment Ward 11) recently.
Nobody paid him any attention in the noisy and busy ward (too few staff) and he was discharged with a chest infection, only to be re-admitted to Halifax Royal Infirmary 3 days later!
The care he received in Halifax couldn't have been more different - it was fantastic.
Head and shoulders above what the level of care and compassion he received from the staff in Huddersfield.
Huddersfield have got a awful lot to catch up with in terms of elderly care.
Very, very disappointing.
"Very bad compared to Halifax Royal Infirmary!"
