"Serious concerns"

I attended due to visual field defects picked up by my optician. The doctor repeatedly tried to refer me for an MRI scan despite the fact that I have a cardiac pacemaker. The doctor thought it would be ok as 'we are not scanning your chest'. I am absolutely not allowed to have this type of scan but had to state this 3 or 4 times before a CT scan was offered as an alternative.

I do not want to see the same doctor again as I do not feel they are competent; if I had been older or less aware of the restrictions the PM places upon me I would have been referred to completely the wrong department.

I reported my concerns to the nurse in charge but was not treated in a very dignified way.

I am to attend again in 2 months as there are 'nerve changes seen in glaucoma'. Due to my age it is clearly early to have such issues but I am simply not receiving an adequate level of information. This is making a stressful situation considerably worse.
