"They left me feeling intimidated!"

I had an appointment at the eye clinic yesterday the 8th September at 11.00 AM. I had the drops I needed to dilate my pupils quite quickly. Then sat for almost an hour. I asked having been at the clinic for just over 1 hour (12.00) how much longer I would have to wait as I had another appointment. I was told to wait whilst they checked. I was then told that two other patients were in front of me. Their attitude was most unhelpful, with no apology or explanation. I told the Nurse that I could not wait much longer. They responded by telling me 'I could not do that' and that they would 'write on my notes ' followed by its 'your eyes' as we left. Their attitude was hostile and I found them most intimidating.

As we left my wife noticed the Nurse pulling a face behind my back in full view of the waiting room.. very Professional!

I have been going to this Clinic for some years and each time the standards are a little worse. Last year I had to wait hours. Appointments are often cancelled and rebooked months later. Don't go here!

Thank you for your feedback following your recent appointment. I am very sorry that you felt intimidated by the staff and that they were unprofessional. As a Trust we expect high standards from all staff and for them to behave in a professional manner at all times.

I have passed on your comments to the team and reminded them of the Trusts standards. Pleased be assured this is something I have taken very seriously.
