"Good carers but communication could improve"

I have carers from Alpha four times a day. I get on well with them. The girls would do anything for you, they help in any way. It’s normally two girls that care for me and they are lovely lassies. The girls that cover holidays are good too. One of my carers brings me a rose from her garden every morning.

The carers encourage me to have a shower when I don’t feel like it but I always feel better afterwards. I didn’t feel like getting up this morning to come to the day centre but my carer came in and got me up and now I’m glad I’m here.

The only thing I don’t like is when the carers say they’ll come at 5. 30 and turn up at 6. 10. Often it’s the office that phone the girls and ask them to fit someone else in so they are late for me. The office then don’t tell me this. I phoned the other night when my carer was late and was told by the office that she had 3 people before me. I thought “when will I get my dinner tonight? ”

It would help if the office would phone but they rarely do.
