I have visited Ward 3 with my mum twice in the last three days and couldn't fault anything. My mum was the patient. She is 89 and blind and was rushed into hospital in the first instance by her GP after a routine blood test was abnormal. She needed the test repeating. This was done and medication prescribed. Unfortunately the medication did not have the desired effect and a day later she was admitted as an emergency. She was frightened and upset. The staff on this ward are amazing. They are patient and kind yet totally professional. The organisation is such that you immediately know the name of the nurse caring for you and they are busy but available. They do not seem to stop as they seamlessly deal with such a wide range of issues from the distressed folks who simply want to go home and are determined to abscond to the complex medical needs.
The ward is cleaned thoroughly and frequently. The food is appetising and served in a professional and yet friendly and supportive manner.
The staff on this ward care for everyone that passes through their doors. Well done and thank you
"Ward 3 amazing treatment"
