"A&E and planned surgery"

About: St Helier Hospital

I went to a &e with broken elbow and a sprained ankle, not once was I offered a wheelchair to take me to Xray or nurse to plaster room had to hobble in pain.

I then was bluntly told you need surgery nothing about seeing consultant to talk it over or options, get a call 2 days after for surgery I cancelled due to flu, day of surgery had a rude consultant call me never addressed me by name just said are you coming for op, no was answer and said why to which got so you not coming and hung up, I have appointment on Wednesday at Davis unit to which I hope they more helpful and polite, I would not recommend this hospital to have surgery in and I no intention there to if I choose that option for my Elbow and I am only using as

I live near, Staff need manners and be helpful to people who are in pain.

Send your staff on courses on how to interact with injured people
