I became concerned about a lump of my forehead which I suspected was sun damage - possibly malignant - and went to see my GP at Norton Medical Practice in Stourbridge. They immediately referred me to the Rapid Access Skin Clinic at Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley. I was given an immediate appointment and, subsequently, I had the offending lesion removed. From referral to excision took just 17 days. Wow! My initial assessment was at RHH but the surgery (under local anesthetic) was at Corbett Hospital in Stourbridge. On both hospital visits, the appointment times were kept to the minute; all levels of staff were compassionate and professional; the atmosphere of the clinics was bright, calming and welcoming. My (minor) operation was carried out with the utmost concern and consideration, led by consultant. What a team! A credit to the NHS. Keep up the splendid work.
"Wow!"
