"something to think about.."
About: Chorley & South Ribble Hospital Chorley & South Ribble Hospital Chorley PR7 1PP
My grandmas has visited Chorley hospital three times in the last week. The majority of care was good but I would really like to point out a few things that need to be thought about to improve patient care as they were overseen..
1) Think about if its appropriate to tell a lady with althezimers her endoscopy results whilst under the effects of sedation on her own. There is now much confusion over what was found as my grandma cannot remember what was said or what happened.
2) Staff who work in the blood clinic please smile and talk. I witnessed my grandma have her bloods taken as she was anxious only to find the health worker to not make eye contact with my grandma and only say "please put your arm here". This isn't really acceptable, other workers such as Drs and nurses would not be allowed to communicate in such manner, the 6 c's are applicable to every NHS employee. The way this person acted really upset my grandma.
This is suppose to be constructive, i appreciate that our trust is gravely understaffed and is facing huge economical pressures but it does not take much to think about a situation and smile.
