Following a CT scan I was referred by the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre to the Gastroenterology Department at the Countess of Chester for a colonoscopy towards the end of July.
The pre-admission review and the procedure itself all went very smoothly and two polyps were removed entirely painlessly and with no after effects. The nursing staff were all very courteous and efficient and the consultant and their colleague were very competent and professional. Full marks for the whole team. Two less positive comments. It took close to three months from referral to admission and when I had a further review with my oncologist at Clatterbridge two weeks later, they had not received a report or results.
