Went to Abingdon hospital in the evening on 8th August after an appointment made by calling 111 ( helpful and excellent response) and given a 9pm appointment
Saw the doctor promptly who examined my eye and telephoned a consultant who said that if my eye condition had changed that evening to go to the JR and gave me a letter to take
The doctor rang me the following day to enquire what was the outcome of the visit and i said that I had seen no one at the hospital except a nurse who got in touch with some one and said that they would ring the following day.
The hospital had not so far telephoned so the doctor rang my surgery to speak to my GP but as my GP was not in until the following day but they spoke to another doctor who passed the message on
My doctor was given the message the following morning and rang the eye hospital for an emergency appointment which was made for the following day.
Would you please pass on my grateful thanks to the doctor
