"c section experience"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary

I was discharged yesterday following the birth of my daughter, following all natural vaginal deliveries with no complications I found myself facing a c section due to problems with the cord at 37 weeks pregnant, my usual consultant was on holiday and was assigned a registrar who was remarkable, who was extremely professional, reassuring, highly competent, kind and more importantly they cared for me like I was a person and not just another patient, after discussion on the post natal ward I found this to be the opinion of the other mums who had their care under the same registrar, the registar was so busy and the wards were heaving but they made the time to keep coming back and seeing if you were ok, their after care was outstanding and their bed side manner remarkable.I was so scared to have a section but they made the whole situation much better and for the care I received from them I am truly grateful, they are an asset to the obstetric team at dri, they would make a fantastic consultant ! The midwives were all outstanding particularly the one on m2 that spent the majority of her shift with me, caring for me, if it wasn't for her noticing that something wasn't quite right and informing the registrar I may have had a very different outcome, thankyou for been an amazing person and giving me the strength to have a section and to stay strong. Thank you to everyone from m1 and m2 and theatre you were all truly amazing, I cant thankyou enough.
