My social worker suggested I come to Dirrans, I live around the corner but I didn’t know it was there. It’s a very welcoming place, you feel at home right away. It’s always a good atmosphere and the staff go out of the way to help if you’re having a problem.
It was the only service for me, although I don't have a brain injury they were very accommodating. They put therapy in place which has been a brilliant thing, it’s given me and my mum a closer relationship.
Dirrans provides an essential service that is missing from NHS mental health services.
