About: Macclesfield District General Hospital

I have been to Macclesfield hospital a few times for various things and would give 5 stars but I was referred to the doctor after my knee replacement started giving me problems. I attended on 1st April 2015 and had xrays. the doctor said they would arrange for me to have a bone scan and then if everything was ok I could have a full knee replacement. To date I have not heard anything and had no reply when I have left messages on answer machines. Today I spoke to the admissions dept to be told that I am not even on a waiting list and to contact the secretary, which I have done leaving yet another message. I am in a lot of pain and constantly taking strong pain killers I understand thoroughly that it is a busy hospital and everyone I have dealt with have been wonderful but it would be nice to get a reply after leaving a message. As I said the hospital is brilliant and the treatment in the past excellent its just a pity the lack of communication seems to let it down. Susan Derbyshire
